AFRICAN FAMILY HEALTH ORGANIZATION (AFAHO)
Though in need of healthcare and other social services, members of these populations do not access these services due to many barriers including: language, cultural, fear of deportation, hesitancy to navigate the complex healthcare system, lack of knowledge of services available etc.
At AFAHO, we aim to help our clients eliminate these barriers and ensure they access and receive needed care. Our staff offers medical escort services to clients to aid in language and support needs; develop bi-lingual educational materials; offer culturally competent health education workshops and a host of other services.
Together our staff speak 10 different African and Caribbean languages.
Remember you may vote for a specific cause only once every four hours. We have the right to remove duplicate votes.
