WorldofGood.com by eBay and WhatGives!? want you to Name Your Cause! Cast your vote from now until 12 PM PDT on December 10, 2009 and help your favorite charity win an eBay gift card! The votes not only allow supporters to bring their favorite charities to the top of the Current Top 10 list (and as a result give a charity more exposure), but could also help them win some extra spending power this holiday season.
How many times can I vote?
You may vote for a specific charity once every four hours, and you may vote for as many charities as you like! Also note that there is no registration. You don't need to sign up anywhere to vote.
How do I support Name Your Cause?
Vote often. Tell your friends to vote. Share your vote on Facebook and Twitter!
What are the requirements for organizations to be listed?
The only requirement is that a charity be registered as a non-profit with the IRS. We leave it up to the voters to research which causes they would like to support. If a charity is nominated and then determined not to be a registered non-profit, it will be removed from the site.
How will winners be determined and notified?
Votes may be cast from now until 12 PM PDT on December 10, 2009. At that time, the three charities that have received the most votes win! In the event of a tie (in which two or more charities in the top three receive the same number of votes), the winner shall be decided by a tie breaker: the winner shall be the charity whose last vote was first received by Name Your Cause. All winners will be notified by a sponsor representative (who are considered the judges of the contest) according to the names and email addresses entered on the registration form. Winners will be contacted within three (3) days of winner selection and prizes will be delivered once the winners have been certified as eligible. Should any charity in the top three not be able to accept an eBay gift card, the prize will be offered to the charity with the next highest number of votes.
What does each winner receive?
The three winning charities will receive prizing as follows: First Place winner (highest number of votes): one (1) $2,500 eBay Gift Card; Second Place winner (second highest number of votes): one (1) $1,500 eBay Gift Card; Third Place winner (third highest number of votes): one (1) $1,000 eBay Gift Card. Prizes cannot be substituted, transferred, or redeemed for cash.
